Fit-Up Welding Rotator Description
Fit-up rotators are designed for joining vessels, which may require to be tacked welded due to ovality in the joints in circumferential welding and shell length built-up. This type of rotator, which has hydraulic cylinders positioned under the rollers, is the ideal product for the joints of two shells. By moving the hydraulic cylinders under the roller vertically, the two joints are brought to the desired level and the most suitable position for welding is achieved.
Polyurethane-coated wheels do not damage the shell surface during alignment or rotation and absorb vibrations caused by the roughness on the shell surface.
Under the frames, the bogie is driven by two sets of motor&gearbox that are working synchronized, to drive the units to move on rails.
